These social business classes educate employees at paces that both beginners and digital natives can benefit from, building a more unified, cohesive social savvy work culture.
CDS Global’s Social Business Hub program launched in beta in July. Built on Liferay, the Social Business Hub helps employees work together by educating and nurturing the use of enterprise collaboration tools and social technologies.
The Social Business Hub is receiving wide-spread support across departments and teams, including strong executive support. Senior leaders, including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Workforce Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, have been actively involved to steer, promote and participate in the programs.
The Share Chain now has more than 100 employee subscribers, and is growing. More than 40 employees have joined the Employee Twitter Directory, and are responding to Share Chain requests by tweeting and posting to their personal LinkedIn networks.
In order to expand and sustain the social business program, the Social Business Hub has planned company-wide email campaigns, employee incentives programs, and a crowdsourcing ideation submission process, to be launched with Phase 2 in September 2013.
